Chairman Maloku: We are committing ourselves to the realization of our obligations that arise in the way of European integration

Prishtinë, 10 October 2023 – The Chairman of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council (KPC), Mr. Jetish Maloku, held a working meeting with the Head of the European Union (EU) Office in Kosovo, Mr. Tomas Szunyog with associates.

The focus of today's meeting between Mr. Maloku and Mr. Szunyog was the discussion on the further intensification and deepening of cooperation between the prosecutorial system and the mechanisms of the EU Office in Kosovo regarding the implementation of the rule of law and other commitments with common interest.

On this occasion, Chairman Maloku closely informed Ambassador Szunyog about the development of the activities that are being done to fulfill the obligations that arise in the process of reforming the justice system in Kosovo, which are related, among others, to the strengthening of public transparency, effectiveness, efficiency and accountability during the work process.

In this context, the head of the EU in Kosovo, thanking for the reception, emphasized the readiness and commitment of the EU Office in Kosovo to provide the necessary assistance towards further strengthening the rule of law in Kosovo.

In the meeting, the two interlocutors expressed their mutual appreciation for increasing cooperation in the future.
