Four candidates are confirmed for the position of Chief Prosecutor of the Basic Prosecution in Gjakovë

Prishtinë, 6 September 2023- The Chairman of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council of (KPC), Jetish Maloku, together with the Acting General Director of the Secretariat and the Acting Director of the PPRU, based on Regulation 06/2019 on the Appointment of the Chief State Prosecutor and Chief Prosecutors of the Prosecutions of the Republic of Kosovo, opened the applications and reviewed the materials received by four candidates, who applied for the position of Chief Prosecutor of the Basic Prosecution in Gjakovë.

After viewing the materials submitted by the candidates, the Chairman of the KPK, Jetish Maloku, based on his mandate and the criteria provided by the regulations, has confirmed that all the candidates who have applied meet the criteria and are formally considered candidates for the position of the Chief Prosecutor of the Basic Prosecution in Gjakovë.

The candidates who have applied for this position and who have met the criteria are:

• Dëshirë Jusaj, State Prosecutor in the Basic Prosecutor's Office in Gjakova;
• Ardita Beqiraj-Hyseni, State Prosecutor in the Basic Prosecutor's Office in Gjakova;
• Enis Gashi, State Prosecutor in the Basic Prosecutor's Office in Gjakova and
• Anton Hasanaj, State Prosecutor in the Basic Prosecutor's Office in Gjakova.

Meanwhile, the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council will announce in time the other procedures of the process of electing the Chief Prosecutor of the Basic Prosecution in Gjakovë.
