THE 233rd MEETING OF THE KOSOVO PROSECUTORIAL COUNCIL IS HELD

 

Prishtinë, 31 August 2023 – The Kosovo Prosecutorial Council (KPC), led by the Chairman Jetish Maloku, held today the 233rd meeting in a row, according to the agenda.

During this meeting, before the members of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council, the chief prosecutors of the prosecution offices of the Republic of Kosovo reported for the period April - June 2023.

Also, two reports were approved during this meeting; the activities and recommendations of the National Coordinator for Combating Economic Crime for the period April - June 2023 and that of the inter-institutional tracking mechanism for characteristic criminal offenses for the period January - June 2023.

At this meeting, the Council made a decision on the permanent transfer of prosecutors Albana Parduzi and Ajtene Zoni from the General Department of Basic Prosecution in Ferizaj to the General Department of Basic Prosecution in Mitrovica. Also, prosecutors Shpëtim Peci and Sebahate Hoxha Pepaj were promoted to the Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosovo.

At this meeting, the Council made a decision to open the competition for the advancement of three (3) prosecutors in the Appellate Prosecution Office.

The Council, after the secret voting of the candidates nominated by the chief prosecutors of the prosecution offices, completed the Prosecutors' Performance Evaluation Commission with a new member, prosecutor Nazan Shero from the Basic Prosecution Office in Prizren, after the retirement of the previous member.

Subsequently, the Council made a decision on the proposal for the release from duty of prosecutor Slavica Mavric, due to reaching retirement age, and prosecutor Taulant Atashi, due to the offer of resignation.
