Prishtina, November 26, 2024 – The Acting Chief State Prosecutor, Mr. Besim Kelmendi, held the regular collegium with all chief prosecutors of the country’s prosecution offices, representatives of the prosecution offices and prosecutors of the Office of the Chief State Prosecutor, which was also attended by representatives of the US Embassy in Kosovo.
This meeting discussed criminal cases related to international legal cooperation, the challenges of extradition and sending expertise abroad, in which case Acting Chief Prosecutor Kelmendi requested that these cases be treated with priority in order to raise the image of the State Prosecutor towards international institutions and partners.
Another important issue that was discussed at this meeting was the search-raids in investigative procedures. Also during this meeting, joint investigative teams were discussed, which are created by the chief prosecutors of prosecution offices that involve complex investigative issues that request cooperation and relevant expertise from other law enforcement institutions.
