A delegation from the Special Prosecution Against Corruption and Organized Crime of the Republic of Albania visits the Office of the Chief State Prosecutor

 Prishtina, December 24, 2024 – The Acting Chief State Prosecutor, Mr. Besim Kelmendi, accompanied by the Chair of the Prosecutorial Council, Mr. Ardian Hajdaraj, the Chief Prosecutor of the Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Blerim Isufaj, and prosecutors from the Office of the Chief State Prosecutor, hosted a working meeting today with a delegation from the Special Prosecution Against Corruption and Organized Crime of the Republic of Albania, led by the Head of this Prosecution, Mr. Altin Dumani.

Acting Chief Prosecutor Kelmendi briefed the attendees on the functioning, organizational structure, and competencies of the State Prosecutor, with particular focus on the competencies of the Office of the Chief State Prosecutor, as well as the challenges and achievements of this institution.

The meeting featured productive discussions on enhancing cooperation, coordination, and efficiency in combating crime and strengthening the rule of law in both countries. Additionally, professional topics of mutual interest were addressed.

Discussions also covered advancing collaboration through the signing of memoranda and the formation of joint investigation teams aimed at combating all forms of crime.
