Gjilan, January 14, 2025 – The Basic Prosecution in Gjilan, Department for Serious Crimes, has requested the imposition of detention on remand by the Basic Court in Gjilan against the defendant E.H., on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of “Attempted Murder,” as stipulated by the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo.
According to the motion, there is a grounded suspicion that on November 13, 2024, in Gjilan, the defendant E.H. attempted to deprive the victim, L.H., of life. The incident allegedly occurred following prior verbal disputes when the defendant stabbed the victim once in the left shoulder. Witnesses intervened and separated them, after which the defendant fled the scene. The victim, due to the sustained injury, was initially treated at the Emergency Department of the Regional Hospital in Gjilan and, because of his critical health condition, was subsequently transferred to UCCK (University Clinical Center of Kosovo).
The defendant E.H. has been at large since the commission of this criminal offense.
