Prishtina, January 24, 2025 – The Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosovo, following the developments of the investigation, has filed an indictment today at the Basic Court in Pristina – Special Department, against the defendant J. Sh. of Bosniak nationality, for the criminal offense: “War Crimes against the civilian population”.
The defendant is accused of having participated in the murder of three civilians of Albanian nationality during the war in Kosovo, which occurred in the house of Dyla family in Gjakova.
The investigation has also revealed that the defendant participated in the eviction of the Dyla family and the destruction of their property.
This criminal case has now been transferred to the jurisdiction of the Special Department of the Basic Court in Pristina for further proceedings.
The defendant is in detention according to the decision of the Pre-Trial Judge until a new decision by the court.
