Prishtina, December 24, 2024 – The Chief Prosecutor of the Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Blerim Isufaj, hosted in a working meeting a delegation from the Special Prosecution against Corruption and Organized Crime of the Republic of Albania, headed by the Head of this Prosecution, Mr. Altin Dumani.
During this meeting, the two Chief Prosecutors discussed increasing the level of cooperation, coordination and efficiency in the fight against crime and strengthening the rule of law in both countries.
Also, the Chief Prosecutor of the Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Blerim Isufaj and the Head of the Special Prosecution against Corruption and Organized Crime of the Republic of Albania (SPAK), Mr. Altin Dumani, also signed a cooperation agreement for the creation of joint investigative teams, composed of prosecutors from both respective prosecution offices.
The purpose of signing this agreement between the two heads of prosecution institutions foresees close cooperation and coordination of the actions of both prosecution offices in important areas of the fight against crime that affect the economic, financial and social interests of both countries.
Chief Prosecutor Isufaj and the head of the Special Prosecution Office, Dumani, have assessed the signing of this agreement as important, emphasizing that this is a step towards improving security and the rule of law in the two respective countries, as well as towards building a strong partnership between the two justice institutions.
