Kosovo Police Discovers a Sophisticated Laboratory for Document Forgery

On January 24, 2025, the Kosovo Police stopped a vehicle in Pristina, where they found blank documents from different countries around the world. The driver with the initials (F.K.) was arrested and sentenced to 30 days in detention. After intensive investigations, a house in Pristina was discovered that served as a sophisticated laboratory for the production of forged documents, such as passports, identity cards and driver’s licenses. Relevant evidence, laser machines, printers, over 20,000 microchips and thousands of documents from 51 different countries around the world were seized during the search. This case is being investigated as “Forgery of Documents” and “Organized Crime” by the Special Prosecution. The Kosovo Police remains engaged in combating organized crime.
