Pristina, 28 January 2025 – The Chief Prosecutor of the Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Blerim Isufaj, hosted in a working meeting the Head of the EULEX Mission, Mr. Giovanni Pietro Barbano, as well as his associates.
During this meeting, Chief Prosecutor Isufaj and the Head of the EULEX Mission held fruitful discussions on issues related to strengthening the rule of law in the Republic of Kosovo.
Specifically, this meeting discussed the deepening of cooperation between the Special Prosecution and the EULEX Mission, as well as the support of this Mission in maintaining institutional independence.
On the other hand, the Head of EULEX, Mr. Giovanni Pietro Barbano, while appreciating the work of the Special Prosecution Office, emphasized that the institution he leads within his mandate will continue to support the Special Prosecution in promoting and strengthening the rule of law.
On this occasion, the two interlocutors also signed an agreement for the acceptance of a donation, specifically a vehicle donated by the EULEX Mission, for the Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosovo.
Chief Prosecutor Isufaj thanked the EULEX Mission for the donation of this vehicle, which will be used for the needs of the Special Prosecution, appreciating the role, commitment and support of the EU Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo provided continuously for the institution of the Special Prosecution, as well as expressing his readiness to deepen cooperation in the future with the aim of achieving joint successes.
