Prishtinë, 5 November 2024 – The Chairman of the Kosovo prosecutorial Council (KPC), Mr. Ardian Hajdaraj, received the Ambassador of the United Kingdom in Kosovo, Mr. Jonathan Hargreaves and his collaborators.
On this occasion, Chairman Hajdaraj gave a special thanks to the British institutions, which have provided continuous support to the prosecutorial system during the processes of their consolidation and development, expressing his commitment to develop further partnership for the advancement and strengthening of order and rule of law in the Republic of Kosovo.
Also during today’s meeting it was discussed the progress of the implementation of the Memorandum of Cooperation of the Prosecutorial Council with the British Government for the drafting of the Regulation for the Establishment of Joint Multidisciplinary Teams and the current challenges of the prosecutorial system. “We express our commitment that within this year this important regulation will be approved by the Prosecutorial Council of Kosovo”, said the chairman Hajdaraj on this occasion.
Among other things, Mr. Hargreaves emphasized that the diplomatic mission of the United Kingdom in Kosovo welcomes and is committed to strengthening the prosecutorial system, and in this context, the two interlocutors agreed that the joint initiatives should be implemented as soon as possible and have a complete focus in the processes of implementing reforms in the justice system, this process, which is supported by the Embassy of the United Kingdom in Kosovo.
