THE STATE PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE IN PROTECTION OF THE VOTE
Pristina, April 23, 2023 - The State Prosecutor’s Office announces to the public opinion that it is supervising the extraordinary election process in the four municipalities of the Republic of Kosovo, for the mayor of the Municipality in Northern Mitrovica, Leposaviq, Zveçan and Zubin Potok, while early elections for the two municipal assemblies in Zveçan and Leposaviq.
Since seven o'clock in the morning today, the prosecutors together with the Kosovo Police are engaged, in police stations of the four respective municipalities, to closely supervise the progress of the election process, who are in a state of readiness to react in any case where the voting process is obstructed.
In addition, in this election process, the guardian judges are engaged and are ready for any eventuality.
Likewise, the state prosecutor, in order to prevent any irregularities related to the right to vote, invites citizens, the media and civil society to cooperate and report to the Police and the Prosecutor for all eventual claims related to election abuses.
