The State Prosecutor and the National Audit Office sign a cooperation agreement
Prishtina, March 16, 2023 - The Acting Chief State Prosecutor, Mr. Besim Kelmendi and the Auditor General of Kosovo, Mrs. Vlora Spanca, have signed a cooperation agreement in order to strengthen the rule of law in the Republic of Kosovo, as well as in accordance with international standards and best practices,, where representatives of the OPDAT Office of the American Embassy in Kosovo were also present at the signing ceremony.
The agreement between the institution of the State Prosecutor and the National Audit Office, defines the way of cooperation and coordination of inter-institutional activities and standard procedures in the exchange of information related to the cases which, according to the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo, represent criminal offenses, which were identified during the exercise of audit activities, presented by the National Audit Office to the State Prosecutor according to the Code of Criminal Procedure.
Both parties pledged to advance the ways of communication, as well as data exchange, which are necessary for the most efficient implementation of this agreement.
