The State Prosecutor and the Basel Institute on Governance continue cooperation regarding the tracking and identification of illegally acquired assets
Prishtina - Basel, December 21, 2022 - Acting Chief State Prosecutor, Mr. Besim Kelmendi and the Director of the Basel Institute on Governance (BIG), Ms. Gretta Fenner, have signed a memorandum for the continuation of cooperation regarding the tracking and identification of illegally acquired assets, which aims to increase efficiency in the fight against corruption, money laundering and organized crime in the Republic of Kosovo.
This partnership will continue to provide state prosecutors with international legal expertise in cases of corruption, financial crimes and organized crime, through their assistance in tracing illegally acquired assets.
The signing of this memorandum is the continuation of the agreement of September 23, 2020 between the institution of the State Prosecutor and the Basel Institute on Governance (BIG), which was made possible by the UNDP Office in Kosovo, within the SAEK III Project, project which is financially supported by the Swiss and Swedish governments.
