Commitment to completing corruption and economic crime cases is required
Mitrovica, October 06, 2021 - The Basic Prosecution in Mitrovica has held today the next collegium of prosecutors of this prosecution office, with the participation of prosecutors Laura Pula and Arben Ismajli, of the Working Group for the supervision of the Unit for Combating Corruption and Economic Crimes.
During the collegium, the working reports were discussed, with special emphasis on the review of cases of corruption and economic crimes, as well as the challenges that this prosecution faces in carrying out its daily work.
Chief Prosecutor Ujkani presented monthly reports submitted by prosecutors, the challenges faced by the Basic Prosecution in Mitrovica such as the Covid-19 pandemic and worked consequently with essential staff for a period, translating case files, and using the annual leave of prosecutors and administrative staff.
Despite the challenges the institution of the Basic Prosecution of Mitrovica has face with, during the meeting a greater commitment of prosecutors in completing cases of corruption and economic crimes has been required.
