The Chief State Prosecutor and the Head of the UN Women Office in Kosovo discuss deepening cooperation
Prishtina, March 24, 2021 - The Chief State Prosecutor, Aleksandër Lumezi, accompanied by the Chief Prosecutor of the Basic Prosecution in Prishtina, Kujtim Munishi, received the Head of the UN Women Office in Kosovo, Vlora Nushi.
Discussion of common issues related to the integrated inter-institutional database on cases of domestic violence, treatment of cases of sexual violence and victims of sexual violence, coordination of rule of law institutions, establishment of a mechanism for issuing analytical reports on cases of domestic violence, as well as the deepening of mutual cooperation were the focus of the meeting between Chief State Prosecutor Lumezi and the UN Women Head.
On this occasion, the representatives of UN Women highly praised the application of the database on cases of domestic violence by law enforcement institutions in the Republic of Kosovo, concluding that in this regard our country is a good example in the region and beyond.
On the other hand, the Chief State Prosecutor, Aleksandër Lumezi, has emphasized the fact that the State Prosecutor remains committed to prioritizing the treatment of all cases of domestic violence and sexual violence, and through the Office for Victim Advocacy and Assistance is offering legal protection necessary for all victims of acts of violence.
