Detention on remand is required against the suspect who killed his wife
Gjilan, July 26, 2020 - The Basic Prosecution of Gjilan, Department for Serious Crimes, has requested from the competent Court in Gjilan, to imposeof detention on remand against the suspect N.M., who is suspected of depriving his wife of his life with a metal rod .
According to the request, there is a grounded suspicion that, on July 25, 2020, in the village of Berivojcë, Kamenica municipality, the suspect N.M., due to ongoing family disputes, intentionally deprived of life his wife, now deceased S.M., so that after speaking, the suspect with a suitable tool - a metal rod, hits the deceased once on the head, which falls to the floor, but the same still continued to hit her with a rod several times on the head and other parts of the body, in which case the deceased caused fatal wounds.
With these actions, it is suspected that the suspect N.M., has committed the criminal offense “Aggravated Murder”, under Article 173 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo.
The suspect is in detention for 48 hours, while today is expected to be held a hearing for the measure of detention on remand, before the pre-trial judge.
