The Supervisory Commission for Monitoring Cases of Corruption and Economic Crimes visits the Basic Prosecutor's Office in Peja
Prishtinë, 19 May 2023 – The Supervisory Commission for Corruption and Economic Crimes, led by the chairman Arian Gashi, together with the members of the Commission, the prosecutors Laura Pula and Arben Ismajli, as well as the Coordinator of the Permanent Commissions of the KPC, Besim Kusari, visited the Basic Prosecutor's Office of Peja, where they were received by the Deputy Chief Prosecutor of this prosecution, Ersan Çavolli.
The purpose of the visit to the Basic Prosecutor's Office of Peja was to review the Quarterly Report for the period January-March 2023 and to discuss the challenges of handling cases of corruption and economic crimes that fall within the scope of this prosecutor's office.
During the meeting, the results achieved so far were evaluated and the process of carrying out the cases of corruption and economic crimes was discussed, requesting further commitment for the treatment of these cases that belong to the year 2022 and 2023.
The Supervisory Commission for the Monitoring of Cases of Corruption and Economic Crimes is carrying out visits to all the prosecutor's offices of the country in the framework of the active monitoring of the implementation of the Strategy of the prosecutorial system (2022-2024) and the Action Plan.
