Detention on remand is requested against three persons related to the case “Brezovica”
Ferizaj, January 07 2022 - The Basic Prosecution in Ferizaj, Department for Serious Crimes, has requested from the Basic Court in Ferizaj detention on remand against the defendants B.H., A.Ç., And I.A., who by decision of the State Prosecutor are under the 48-hour detention measure.
At the request of the Prosecution, there is a reasonable suspicion that the defendant A.Ç., as the official-secretary general of the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning in Prishtina, has abused his official position in order to gain material benefit for himself and other persons, with this commits the criminal offense “Abuse of official position or authority” under Article 422 paragraph 1 of the CCRK.
According to the Prosecution, he received money in order to act contrary to his official duty, thus committing the criminal offense “Accepting bribes” under Article 428 paragraph 2 in conjunction with Article 31 of the CCRK.
Whereas, against the other defendant B.H., there is a reasonable suspicion that the same as an official person - Chief Inspector of the Inspectorate in the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning in Pristina, now MEA, has abused his official position in order to gain material benefit for himself and other persons, with this he commits the criminal offense “Abuse of official position or authority” under Article 422 paragraph 1 of the CCRK.
Whereas, against the other defendant I.A., there is a grounded suspicion that the same, has given money to the official person to act in contradiction with his official duties, with this he would commit the criminal offense “Giving a bribe” under article 429 par. .3 of the CCRK and the criminal offense “Trading in influence” under article 431 par.1 of the CCRK.
