Detention on remand is requested for the husband who killed his wife in Llausha, Skenderaj
Mitrovica, January 06, 2022 - Basic Prosecution in Mitrovica - Department of Serious Crimes, has requested from the Basic Court in Mitrovica detention on remand for the suspect SQ, due to reasonable suspicion that he has committed the criminal offenses “Aggravated Murder” under Article 173 paragraph 1 under paragraph 1.3 of the CCRK, as well as “Unauthorized ownership, control or possession of weapons” under Article 366 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo.
According to the request of the prosecution submitted before the court, there is a grounded suspicion that the suspect S.Q., on 05 January 2022 in the village of Llaushe of Skenderaj, intentionally deprived of life his wife with the initials L.Q., so that after a continuous dispute with the victim, pulled the weapon out of his jacket pocket and shot six times in the direction of the victim, hitting the vicitm’s body and as a result of the wounds received the victim died on the way to the Mitrovica Regional Hospital.
The suspect was detained by the decision of the prosecutor, yesterday, January 5, and is remanded in detention for 48 hours.
The court sesion to order detention on remand for detainees is expected to be held before the pre-trial judge of the Basic Court in Mitrovica.
