Indictment for organizing and participating in a terrorist group, facilitating the commission of terrorism and recruiting for terrorism
Prishtinë, 9 December 2021 – The Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosovo has today filed an indictment in the Basic Court in Prishtina - Special Department, against the defendant A.M.
The Special Prosecution Office announces that the above-mentioned defendant, with intent as well as with preliminary preparations, in order to join the terrorist organization ISIS, has taken an active part in the wars in Syria. The same, directly and indirectly from the conflict zones in Syria, as a member of the terrorist organization ISIS, has provided funds for citizens from Kosovo, who were interested in traveling to Syria, to join this organization. Also, through the lectures he held in Kosovo, he publicly called on other people to join the terrorist organization ISIS operating in Syria and Iraq.
With these actions the defendant A.M. has committed the criminal offenses "Organization and participation in a terrorist group" under article 143 par. 2 of the CCRK, "Facilitation of the commission of terrorism" under article 138 par. 1 of the CCRK, and "Recruitment for terrorism" under article 139 of the CCRK.
