Detention on remand is requested against five persons related to the action "Sharri National Park 2021"
Ferizaj, November 19, 2021 - The Basic Prosecution in Ferizaj, General Department, has requested from the Basic Court in Ferizaj to order the measure of the detention on remand against the defendants Sh.L., G.S., E.Sh., M.L. and B.R., from Kaçanik, who are under the 48-hour detention measure.
According to the request of the Prosecution, there is a grounded suspicion that the defendants during an indefinite time in co-perpetration, they continuously cut trees of different types in the protected forest exactly in the territory of the National Park “Sharri” for the purpose of sale and contrary to the provisions of Law no.04/L -087, on the national park "Sharri”, which they transported by means of transport and as a result of the damage to the Directorate for the Administration of the National Park “Sharri”, they caused great material damage, with this in co-perpetration have committed the criminal offense ”Forest Theft" under Article 349 par.3 subparagraphs 3.1 and 3.2 in conjunction with Articles 31 and 77 of the CCRK.
The same individuals, in co-perpetration, have continuously destroyed large areas of forests, thus cutting down trees of different types and quantities with which actions have caused great material damage to the injured party, the Directorate for Administration of the National Park "Sharri", in the protected forest exactly in the territory of the National Park "Sharri", with this in co-perpetration have committed the criminal offense "Devastation of forests" under Article 348 paragraph 2 in conjunction with Articles 31 and 77 of the CCRK.
