Detention is required against three persons for the criminal offense of unauthorized purchase, possession, distribution and sale of narcotics
Gjakovë, 27 October 2021 – The Basic Prosecution in Gjakova, Department for Serious Crimes, has made a request to the competent Court in Gjakova, to impose detention on three defendants G.I., J.I., and Rr. Sh., With reasonable suspicion that they have committed the criminal offense "Unauthorized purchase, possession, distribution and sale of narcotics, psychotropic substances and analogues", from Article 267 paragraph 1, in conjunction with Article 31 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo.
The Prosecution announces that, before and until 26.10.2021, in the village of Stubëll, Municipality of Gjakova, without authorization and for the purpose of sale, they possessed substances which by law have been declared narcotics. The same were under secret measures of investigation and surveillance, where on the date mentioned above, according to the order of the competent Court, a search was made in the houses and facilities accompanying the defendants, where from this search resulted in finding 5 kilograms of 571 grams, suspected narcotic substance of marijuana type, which was confiscated by police officers.
The prosecutor in the case against defendants G.I., J.I., and Rr. Sh., Has made the request for detention on remand within 30 days.
