Indictment for abusing official position or authority, Intrusion into computer systems, identity theft and access device, money laundering and assistance
Prishtinë, 12 tetor 2021 – The Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosovo (SPRK), has filed an indictment in the Basic Court in Prishtina - Special Department, against the defendants L.G and K.SH.
The defendant L.G, is charged for the criminal offenses "Abusing official position or authority" under article 414 of the CCRK, " Intrusion into computer systems" under article 327 of the CCRK, "Identity theft and access device " under article 336 of the CCRK, as well as" Money laundering " under article 308 of the CCRK, in connection with article 56 of the Law on Prevention of Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing, in co-perpetration with the defendant K.SH.
While, the defendant K.SH., is charged for the criminal offenses "Money laundering" under article 308 of the CCRK, in connection to article 56 of the Law on Prevention of Money Laundering and Financing of Terrorism, in cooperation with the defendant L.G, and for the criminal offense "Assistance" under article 33 par. 2 in connection with paragraph 1 of the CCRK, in connection with the criminal offense "Abusing official position or authority" under article 414 of the CCRK.
The Special Prosecution informs that as a result of the incriminating actions of the defendants L.G and K.SH, the budget of the Republic of Kosovo was damaged in the amount of two million seventy seven thousand nine hundred ninety five euros and ninety cents (2,077,995.90 ) euro.
In this regard, the Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosovo has requested the confiscation of four (4) vehicles which are a result of this criminal activity, the amount of money which has been frozen by court order, as well the defendants are obliged to compensate the damage caused to the Budget of the Republic of Kosovo, until the value of the damage as a result of the criminal offenses is met, or on the contrary, the court confiscates any property of the defendants until full compensation of the damage caused to the budget of the Republic of Kosovo.
