By order of the Special Prosecution, five people were arrested
Prishtinë, 10 October 2021 – The Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosovo (SPRK), informs the public that after several months of investigation and implementation of covert measures of investigation and surveillance, by order of this Prosecution, an operation was conducted by the Kosovo Police, respectively by the Directorate Against Terrorism that has resulted in five people arrested.
The Special Prosecution Office reports that explosives, drone firearms and anti-tank weapons were found during the search.
Also, there is a reasonable suspicion that the same persons have committed the criminal offenses "Preparation of terrorist acts or criminal offenses against the Constitutional order and security of the Republic of Kosovo" under article 138 par. 1 of the CCRK, in relation to the criminal offense " Commission of the terrorist offense" from article 129 par. 1 in connection with article 31 of the CCRK, as well as the criminal offense" Import, export, supply, transportation, production, exchange, mediation or unauthorized sale of weapons or explosives " from article 364 par.2 of the CCRK.
The SPRK announces that the same persons are also suspected of the criminal offense “Unauthorized ownership, control or possession of weapon" under article 366 par. 2 of the CCRK.
Also, the Special Prosecution, within the legal time limits, will make a request for detention on remand for the five detained persons.
