Handling cases of corruption and economic crimes to be a priority of the Basic Prosecution of Gjakova
Gjakova, 7 October 2021 - The working group for the supervision of the Unit for Fighting Corruption and Economic Crimes, led by the Deputy Chairman of the KPC, Veton Shabani, visited the Basic Prosecution of Gjakova, where he met with the Chief Prosecutor of this Prosecution, Ramiz Buzhala.
In this meeting were discussed the work reports of this prosecution, with special emphasis on the review of cases of corruption and economic crimes, as well as the challenges in conducting these cases.
On this occasion, the head of the Working Group informed the Chief Prosecutor regarding the reporting to the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council on criminal offenses of economic crimes and corruption for the period January-June 2021.
At the end of this meeting, a greater commitment was requested in reducing the number of cases of corruption and economic crimes and their treatment with high priority.
