Commitment is required to reduce the number of cases of corruption and economic crimes
Prishtina, 5 October 2021 - The working group for the supervision of the Unit for Fighting Corruption and Economic Crimes, led by the Deputy Chairman of the KPC, Veton Shabani, paid a visit to the Basic Prosecution of Prishtina, where he met with the head of the Unit for Economic Crimes and Corruption, Zejnullah Gashi and the head of the General Department of this prosecution.
In this meeting were discussed the challenges and achievements of the Unit for Economic Crimes and Corruption of the Basic Prosecution of Prishtina.
Also, this unit was informed by the chair of the Working Group for its oversight regarding the reporting to the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council for the period January-June 2021 on criminal offenses of economic crimes and corruption.
During this meeting, the Unit was informed that the KPC has decided that the Committee on Normative Affairs to supplement the Administrative Instruction on setting the orientation norm for state prosecutors.
At the end of this meeting, greater commitment was requested in reducing the number of cases of corruption and economic crimes and their treatment with high priority.
