The Kosovo Prosecutorial Council holds its next meeting

Pristina, 22 September 2021 - The Kosovo Prosecutorial Council (KPC), chaired by Chairman Jetish Maloku, held its 203rd meeting in a row, which was held online and in accordance with all protective measures against the Covid-19 pandemic.

The meeting started with the working reports for the first half of 2021 from the Oversight Committee for the Implementation of the Strategic Plan and Action Plan for Combating Corruption and Economic Crimes, the National Coordinator for Combating Economic Crime and the chairmen of the standing committees of the Prosecutorial Council of Kosovo, reports which were also approved by KPC members.

Further, the meeting continued with an announcement regarding the reports of the Chief Prosecutors of the Prosecution Offices of the Republic of Kosovo for the period April - June 2021, reports which are made in writing.

KPC has decided to send proposals to the Office of the President of the Republic of Kosovo for the dismissal of 2 State Prosecutors, who will reach retirement age during October 2021.

KPC members in this meeting have approved with some changes the request of acting General Director of the KPC Secretariat regarding personnel issues.

The meeting continued with the approval of the re-evaluation of the performance of 9 prosecutors with initial mandate.

At the end of the meeting, a disciplinary hearing was held regarding the case of a prosecutor in the Basic Prosecution in Peja, where the relevant decision will be made public as provided by law.
