Chairman Maloku hosted at the meeting Minister Haxhiu
Prishtina, 6 April 2020 - The Chairman of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council, Jetish Maloku, hosted at the meeting the Minister of Justice, Albulena Haxhiu, in which he congratulated her on her new position in the Government of Kosovo and informed her about his current commitments, difficulties created in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic and the challenges that await the Kosovo prosecutorial system in the future.
During the meeting with Minister Haxhiu, Chairman Maloku expressed his commitment to the implementation of the mission of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council and to provide the necessary contribution, emphasizing that he will always support joint initiatives between the KPC and the Ministry of Justice in the framework of establishing and strengthening law enforcement in Kosovo.
On the other hand, Minister Haxhiu emphasized that she offers support for all important processes that will take place in the prosecutorial system, in order to jointly advance the rule of law in Kosovo, emphasizing that the department that leads and generally The Government of Kosovo will be fully committed to carry out the vetting process and other aspects of the work, which will contribute to the advancement of the prosecutorial system.
Also, the two interlocutors discussed with special emphasis on the Functional Review of the Justice Sector, a process which will have the mutual support of inter-institutional and international institutions in Kosovo, in order to increase work efficiency, accountability and transparency in Kosovo prosecutorial system.
At the end of the meeting, Chairman Maloku and Minister Haxhiu said that they will intensify the meetings based on the development of work dynamics, in order to achieve the strategic goals of the justice system in Kosovo.
