The Acting Chief Prosecutor of the Basic Prosecution Office of Gjilan is appointed
Pristina, 24 November 2020 - The Kosovo Prosecutorial Council, chaired by Chairman Bahri Hyseni, held its 190th meeting, under pandemic protection measures and through distance communication.
Today's meeting started with the presentation of the list with the names of prosecutors who have applied for the position of Chief Prosecutor in the Appellate Prosecution and 7 basic prosecutions, while it was said that the list is not final, because we must wait for any applications that may come by mail.
Also, the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council has reviewed and approved the 9-month Report, January-September 2020, on characteristic criminal offenses of the Inter-Institutional Tracking Mechanism, and the Document on training policies for prosecutors and the administrative staff of the prosecutorial system.
During today's meeting, KPC has appointed the acting prosecutor Shaban Spahiu as the acting Chief Prosecutor of the Basic Prosecution of Gjilan, a position which he will hold until the election of the new Chief Prosecutor.
KPC in this meeting has authorized the Committee on Normative Issues to prepare the Guide for access of lawyers to the premises of the prosecutorial system of the Republic of Kosovo.
Also during this meeting, the Officer of Human Resources, Sajmir Gjoci, has been appointed official for the protection of personal data in the prosecutorial system, previously the members of the Council voted for the dismissal of the official who has exercised this position until today.
At the end of this meeting, the Council approved the second performance evaluation in the initial mandate of 20 State Prosecutors, who will be proposed to the institution of the President of the Republic of Kosovo for decree with a permanent mandate.
