Indictment for smuggling of migrants
Prishtinë, September 29, 2020 – The Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosova, has filed indictment in the Prishtina Basic Court – Special Department, against the defendant B.M. on charges “Smuggling of Migrants ”, contrary to article 170 par. 1 read with article 31 of CCRP.
The Special Prosecution, announces that the defendant B.M. during the period from January 2013 to 14.07.2014, in the Prizren region and throughout Kosovo, in cooperation with the defendants B.A., S.R., R.D., H.P. and L.G and others, have found migrants interested in leaving Kosovo illegally, to go to in the European Union, after obtaining the necessary documents, including passports and residence permits to migrants, and after receiving payments from migrants amounting to up to 5000 euros per person, have sent migrants through Serbia to various European Union countries, among them the migrants : M.M., R.G., T.K., B.K., B.K., F.B., F.B., L.G., E.G., N.G., B.Q., I.S., M.Z., Y.Y., D.H., I.F., B.K., L.H.
With these actions the defendant B.M. in cooperation, has committed the offense “Smuggling of migrants”, contrary to article 170 read with article 31 of CCRP.
The accused B.M. in September 2020, was extradited from Switzerland to Kosovo.
