The Deputy Chairman Ismaili: The postponement of court hearings without reason by prosecutors is unacceptable
Pristina, November 18, 2019 - Deputy Chairperson of Kosovo Prosecutorial Council, Arben Ismaili, said that it is unacceptable to postpone court hearings without reason by prosecutors. He made these comments at a roundtable discussion organized by the Kosovo Institute of Justice (KIJ).
In this roundtable entitled “Impunity of Corruption” two reports from monitoring of corruption and other cases in the criminal field in the prosecutorial and judicial system are published.
Also, The Deputy Chairman of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council, Arben Ismajli, discussed the issues that should be addressed by the findings of the reports, expressing the commitment to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the prosecutorial system.
All participants agreed that corruption cases still remain a challenge for the justice system.
