CMIS project will influence the increase of performance, efficiency, speed and transparency in the prosecutorial system

Pristina, 27 November 2019 - Chairman of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council (KPC), Bahri Hyseni, hosted in a meeting the Norwegian Ambassador to Kosovo, Jens Erik Grøndahl.

The purpose of the meeting was the coordination of joint activities and the possibility of enhancing cooperation with particular emphasis on the Project on Case Management in Courts and Prosecutions (CMIS) a project funded by the Norwegian Government.

On this occasion, Chairman Hyseni thanked Ambassador Jens Erik Grøndahl for the unwavering support and funding of the CMIS Project. He further informed the Norwegian Ambassador on the activities developed and expected to be developed by the KPC in order to fully implement this project, whereby he said that this project is special because the digitization of the work will affect the performance, efficiency, speed and transparency of the prosecutorial system.

On the other hand, Ambassador Jens Erik Grøndahl pledged continued support for the full implementation of the CMIS Project, with the aim of increasing the efficiency of the justice system in Kosovo, while expressing the willingness to deepen cooperation in other areas of joint interest of the prosecutorial system and the Norwegian embassy.

Both interlocutors said they intend to remain in a strong, long-term and committed partnership through communication, coordination and strengthening cooperation.
